Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 to ‘Implement Hira, a user friendly, integrated national electronic health record, to the agreed level, ensuring the expected benefits of the investment are achieved, and taking all practicable measures to ensure that project milestones are met’ under section 3.7 ‘Strengthening our system enablers’ within Te Whatu Ora’s Te Pae Tata: Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the January to March 2024 quarter, the next iteration of My Health Record was released on 26 March 2024. This included the ability for healthcare consumers to view their NHI details and update some details. Work also continued on the NZ Patient Summary – clinical view.
