46845 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 to ‘Establish accessibility standards with the disabled community for all new builds, new contracts and new services including transport and mobility options, and develop a plan to make existing infrastructure, services and environments compliant with new standards’ under section 3.7 ‘Strengthening our system enablers’ within Te Whatu Ora’s Te Pae Tata: Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the January to March 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand developed the programme scope for establishing accessibility standards and considered training for existing accessibility and universal design requirements.
