46844 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 to ‘Build the national procurement and supply chain function that implements supply chain strategy, policies, and guidance’ under section 3.7 ‘Strengthening our system enablers’ within Te Whatu Ora’s Te Pae Tata: Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the January to March 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand established the structure for a national procurement and supply chain function. Health technology management was added to the existing procurement and supply chain functions to form a Procurement, Supply Chain and Health Technology Management structure. This unit is still being finalised, however. A revised strategy is currently in development, as are organisation levels and internal policies and guidance.
