Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 to ‘Implement emissions targets and performance indicators for national, regional and local levels, and build a national database to track the operational and embedded carbon emission impacts of the health sector’ under section 3.7.4 ‘Action on climate change’ within Te Whatu Ora’s Te Pae Tata: Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised during the January to March 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand continued to measure emissions within its operational control and reported on key emissions sources in the Quarterly Sustainability Report. The Q3 Report for 2023/24 will be published on the Health NZ website.
