46827 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 to ‘Establish a highly-connected national Pacific Clinical Network to help support and mobilise the clinical workforce and create a forum where insights from front-line staff are systematically captured and used to inform quality improvement and service development’ under section 4.2 ‘Pacific Health’ within Te Whatu Ora’s Te Pae Tata: Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that in the January to March 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand appointed Kiki Maoate as the new chairperson of the Pacific Health Senate Fatu Fono Ola. I am further advised that the Senate advised Health NZ of relevant research to consider, and clinicians to engage with, to ensure that evidence-based best practice be incorporated into its work programme. In addition, Health NZ's Clinical Network co-leads from Eye Health and Stroke presented at the Senate’s March meeting.
