46825 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: Had all staff completed their Te Waharoa, Safety Interventions and Alert Programme training at Oranga Tamariki's Puketai care and protection facility between 1 January and 31 July 2025; if not, why?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that all new starters at Puketai between 1 January and 31 July 2025 have completed their Te Waharoa training and safety interventions. Alert Programme training is not part of standard training at care and protection residences, however the majority of staff at Puketai have completed it.
