46812 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 on ‘From 1 January 2023 we will provide health service access performance on monitoring unwanted variation in service access and outcome and equity measures for the four key priority areas’ under section 5.1 ‘Performance reporting’ within Te Whatu Ora’s Te Pae Tata: Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that Health New Zealand is laying foundations for the integration of standards and models of care by establishing National Clinical Networks. These clinical networks will set national standards and models of care and identify ways to address variation in service quality and outcomes. Their work will ensure Health NZ is well placed to develop innovative, efficient, and evidence-based solutions that can be applied across the health system.
