46811 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: Had all staff completed their Te Waharoa, Whakamana Tangata and STAR training at Oranga Tamariki's Te Au rere a te Tonga youth justice facility between 1 January and 31 July 2025; if not, why?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised that Oranga Tamariki data shows all new starters at Te Au rere a te Tonga between 1 January and 31 July 2025 completed their training. I am advised that Te Au rere a te Tonga runs a bespoke version of an induction programme, and will be moving to the standardised Te Waharoa in November 2025.
