46748 (2024). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister for Food Safety: What advice or evidence, if any, has the Minister received from MPI shaping the update to Simply Safe & Suitable Template Food Control Plan around Chinese style roast duck?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: I have not requested any advice on updates to the Simply Safe & Suitable Template Food Control Plan around Chinese style roast duck as this is an operational matter managed by New Zealand Food Safety at the Ministry for Primary Industries. The priority is to ensure all Food Act operators are supported in meeting the requirements of the Food Act 2014, and ensuring all food products are safe and suitable for consumers.
