46640 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Associate Minister of Transport: What was the budget and how much was spent, if any, on the Minister's department's if any, on the carbon neutral government programme from 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2024?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that during the 2023/2024 financial year, Maritime NZ spent $17,780 on measuring and reporting emissions as part of the Carbon Neutral Government Programme. This expenditure was comprised of (excluding GST): • Toitū Envirocare carbonreduce programme and software at an annual cost of $12,600 • Audit-related costs for verifying the inventory to international standard (ISO14064-1:2018) - $5,780 I am advised that under the Crown Entities Act, the Transport Accident Investigation Commission is not required to report against the carbon neutral government programme.
