46589 (2024). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister of Health: Will the overspend from Te Whatu Ora affect productivity growth in the health system, if so, what does the Minister expect this effect will be?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I have made my expectation clear to the Commissioner of Health New Zealand that the need to restrain expenditure to within available funding must not interrupt the delivery of services. This will require Health NZ to find smarter and more productive ways of working to maintain service levels and achieve targets.
