46572 (2025). Ingrid Leary to the Minister of Internal Affairs: Are citizenship applications from former Palestinians being processed more slowly than other applications; if so, what data and/or evidence is there to show this, if any?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I have been advised that the Department of Internal Affairs does not have any special rules for Palestinian applicants, or from any other country. All applications are assessed under the same criteria and processed the same regardless of the applicant’s nationality.
