46569 (2024). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, will the Minister take to address the poor state of data and management systems at Health NZ?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I refer the member to my Letter of Expectations sent to the Chair (now Commissioner) of Health New Zealand on 1 June 2024. Health NZ continues to undertake work to improve data integrity. Data integrity is essential to the performance of the heath system, including the reporting on performance to the public. As Minister, this is a matter to which I will continue to pay close attention.
