46470 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister for Universities: What monitoring or evaluation, if any, is planned to assess whether board fees set under the new Fees Framework have improved governance outcomes in the Minister’s portfolio, and how will this be reported to Parliament, if at all?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: The Cabinet Fees Framework is designed to strengthen governance by supporting the appointment of high-calibre board members. Universities and wānanga are expected to demonstrate how board fees contribute to improved governance and performance.
