Camilla Belich to the Lead Coordination Minister for the Government's Response to the Royal Commission’s Report into Historical Abuse in State Care and in the Care of Faith-based Institutions: What monitoring or evaluation, if any, is planned to assess whether board fees set under the new Fees Framework have improved governance outcomes in the Minister’s portfolio, and how will this be reported to Parliament, if at all?

Hon Erica Stanford: The Cabinet Fees Framework is designed to strengthen governance by supporting the appointment of high-calibre board members. Entities within Ministerial portfolios are expected to demonstrate how board fees contribute to improved governance and performance. Monitoring of these outcomes occurs through annual accountability documents, including Statements of Performance Expectations and annual reports, which are reported in Parliament.
