46441 (2024). Debbie Ngarewa-Packer to the Minister for ACC: Does the Minister agree with the Royal Commission of Inquiry into Abuse in Care recommendation that, if the Government did not reform civil litigation for survivors, it should “fairly and meaningfully” compensate them and allow them to seek tailored ACC compensation, if so, what steps will the Minister take to achieve this outcome?
Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised no decisions have been made regarding this recommendation. I will be working closely with my Ministerial colleagues on considering a redress system for survivors and responding to the recommendations in the Royal Commission’s final report
