46436 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Lead Coordination Minister for the Government's Response to the Royal Commission’s Report into Historical Abuse in State Care and in the Care of Faith-based Institutions: What advice, if any, has the Minister received on trade-offs between applying higher board fees under the new Fees Framework and maintaining frontline services or staff resourcing in their portfolio areas?
Hon Erica Stanford: I have not received any specific advice on this. The Cabinet Fees Framework considers a range of factors when considering fee settings which includes affordability. Any fee adjustments will not come at the expense of frontline services and will be managed within existing baselines. The Framework is designed to ensure remuneration remains within reasonable limits while supporting the appointment of high-quality governance capability.
