46430 (2024). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: Further to his reply 12808, has the redevelopment of Kaniga Ora's properties at 6, 7, 8-10 Koa Street, 22-29 Tahapa Street and 2 Mara Street (all in Meadowbank, Auckland) been paused and, if so, why?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that developments not contracted or under construction are under assessment. The assessment process involves ensuring best value for money, with Kāinga Ora working with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development on locations they would like prioritised under the Public Housing Plan and the approach to housing renewal. A number of projects will proceed as priority locations and renewal budgets are confirmed.
