46374 (2024). Hon Peeni Henare to the Minister for Children: As at 30 July, 2024, what direction, if any, has the Minister given to officials regarding NZDF's involvement in Military Style Academies?

Hon Karen Chhour: Oranga Tamariki have always been the lead agency on the military-style academy pilot programme. The New Zealand Defence Force are providing expertise into the design of the Military-style Academy pilot including providing insights and input from their experience with other youth-focused work, such as the Limited Service Volunteer course.
