46349 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Customs: What was the budget and how much was spent, if any, on the Minister's department's if any, on the carbon neutral government programme from 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2024?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that, in the 2023/24 financial year, the New Zealand Customs Service’s (Customs) budget for the Carbon Neutral Government Programme was $40,000. At the conclusion of the 2023/24 financial year, Customs had spent $38,648 from this budget. Customs’ budget for the Carbon Neutral Government Programme is inclusive of the Border Executive Board Secretariat.
