Hon Judith Collins: For the Ministry of Defence, The member is referred to the Ministry’s responses to the 2022/23 Financial Review questions, which are available from the Parliament website at https://www.parliament.nz/en/pb/sc/submissions-and-advice/. In particular, the response to question 94 provides staff salaries across $10,000 bands, and the response to question 65 provides numbers of staff by role. Additional details need to be protected for national security reasons, and to protect the privacy of identifiable individuals. While only civilian staff are employed by the New Zealand Defence Force, the below table provides the number of Regular Force personnel and civilian staff by salary bands as at 30 June 2023. Job titles are not provided for national security reasons, and to protect the privacy of identifiable individuals. Further, I refer the Member to the attached table.
