Hon Scott Simpson: I regularly engage with groups representing consumers to hear their perspectives. My ministerial diary is proactively released on the Beehive website. My officials engage with consumer groups and consider a range of perspectives, including consumer perspectives, as part of their advice to me on policy issues. Regulatory impact analysis guidance notes that consultation with external stakeholders and the public is a key element of the process.
