46177 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister of Education: How will the Ministry of Education ensure pedagogy informs Industry Skills Boards as they develop senior secondary school subjects, if at all?

Hon Erica Stanford: The Ministry of Education will support Industry Skills Boards with subject development through quality assurance to ensure the content and standard of delivery is at the same level as Ministry-led subjects. This will ensure that only high-quality industry-led subjects are part of the proposed new qualifications, while also providing clearer pathways for students intending to transition into employment or studying higher industry qualifications.
