46168 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter (January to March 2024) to ‘Develop exemplars of good data sharing practices’ under ‘Horizon One’ of the Data and Information Strategy for Health and Disability: Roadmap 2021-2024?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the January to March 2024 quarter, work was started to understand the data sharing framework for operational and clinical purposes, with a particular reference to the use of data in the primary care sector. This work is ongoing, and will provide examplars of where data can be shared and for what purposes, and what types of sharing need further consideration from a privacy and legal perspective.
