46137 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: Further to WPQ 5644, what progress, if any, has been made in the quarter (January to March 2024) on health promotion work programmes concerning 'Nutrition and physical activity'?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the January to March 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand continued to partner with Ministry of Education and Sport NZ to deliver healthy active learning. A health promotion nutrition workforce has been employed to support education settings improve their food and drink environment, and initial planning completed for the new service description and workplan. I am further advised that Health NZ collaborated with the Ministry for Primary Industries and the Ministry of Health to develop a submission on the Food Standards Australia New Zealand Act Review.
