46126 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 to ‘Build a platform with the Rainbow community to include their voices in the design, delivery and performance of the health system’ under section 1.1 ‘Valuing the voices of consumers and whanau’ within Te Whatu Ora’s Te Pae Tata: Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised during the January to March 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand established a team to begin workplans and priorities for the Rainbow Platform. It was also decided that ‘ThoughtExchange’ would be the web application used to create the platform. I am further advised the Consumer Engagement and Whānau Voice (CEWV) team has subsequently had its first online training of ThoughtExchange, and is in the process of learning how to operate and manage the application. The CEWV team is engaging with the Expert Rainbow Advisory Group who will help co-design the platform prior to its release to rainbow communities.
