Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 to ‘Establish Pacific-led regional leadership structures for Pacific health in each region’ under section 1.3 ‘Developing an inclusive leadership and culture’ within Te Whatu Ora’s Te Pae Tata: Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised during the January to March 2024 quarter, there were four Pacific Health regional directors leading on community-based health initiatives in partnership with Pacific primary and community providers. The directors are members of the regional integrated team that takes a whole of system and lifespan view of Pacific people accessing healthcare.
