46101 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 to ‘Provide education and resources to providers for the care of disabled parents and parents welcoming babies with impairments, aligned with the principles of Enabling Good Lives’ under section 2.2 ‘Kahu Taurima | Maternity and early years’ within Te Whatu Ora’s Te Pae Tata: Interim New Zealand Health Plan 2022?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised during the January to March 2024 quarter, the design of education and resources was planned to run in parallel with whole-of-system design work. However, the latter design work was not advanced enough for this to happen, and so the focus was shifted to ensuring that the delivery of Kahu Taurima care to all whānau fully aligns with the priority focus on disabled peoples.
