46077 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 to ‘Encourage continued immunisation to prevent infections’ under ‘Objective 3: Infection Prevention and Control’ within the New Zealand Antimicrobial Resistance Action Plan 2017?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: Improving immunisation rates is a key focus for the Government. In the quarter January to March 2024, a health target was established of 95% of children being fully immunised at 24 months of age. Work being undertaken to achieve this target will encourage continued immunisation to prevent infection.
