46053 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter (January to March 2024) on the action area ‘Ensure that people have the information and support to make healthy choices about gambling for themselves and others’ under ‘Objective 2: Shift cultural and social norms’ within the Ministry of Health’s Strategy to Prevent and Minimise Gambling Harm 2022/23 to 2024/25?
Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that during the January to March 2024 quarter, updates were made to the Safer Gambling Aotearoa website to reflect newly contracted services to prevent and minimise gambling harm, to ensure people know where they can go to seek help. I am further advised that during the quarter, Health New Zealand continued to work with the Department of Internal Affairs to update a suite of Gamble Host resources, to ensure they aligned with new harm minimisation regulations for Class 4 venues. This included in-venue resources for people who gamble.
