46004 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: On what date did Health New Zealand advise him that it had identified “significant and unexpected overspending in the hospital system”, and in what form was this information conveyed?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: Health New Zealand advised my office on 23 March 2024 via an Aide Memoire on Health New Zealand cost pressures. However, I had ongoing consultation with the Chair regarding the financial structure of Health NZ.
