Hon Dr Shane Reti: Lester Levy disclosed his conflicts of interest on 22 April 2024, before being appointed as the Chair of Health New Zealand. After his appointment, on 13 June 2024, the Ministry of Health received an updated copy of his interest register for Health NZ, which noted his conflicts and outlined how those interests would be managed. This information was used as part of the process to appoint him as Commissioner of Health NZ.
