45908 (2025). Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: Has the Minister had any communications with unions in relation to the proposed removal of the Holidays Act 2003 and replacement with a new Employment Leave Act; if so, when, by title and date?

Hon Brooke van Velden: Unions were among the groups I consulted in late 2024 on a draft Bill which was based primarily on the previous Government's policy decisions. Since I announced the Government's decision to take a different approach to reforming the Holidays Act (in December 2024), I have not had any communications with unions on these reforms.
