45762 (2025). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: Further to his reply to Question 43648 (2025), are the four regions that are expected to have net decreases in the number of state homes in 2025/26 examples of regions where Kāinga Ora has its houses in the wrong place and if so, why are these regions considered to be the wrong place for state housing?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advises me that it is delivering net new homes in line with the August 2024 Letter of Expectations and its renewal commitments for FY2024/25 - FY2025/26. Regional delivery variances reflect adjustments following the over-delivery of 334 homes in FY2024/25.
