45703 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Associate Minister of Education: What preservatives, if any, have been used in school lunches, expressed as a list?

Hon David Seymour: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that all suppliers for the school lunches programme comply with the Ministry of Primary Industries requirements for food and drink labelling and composition. These requirements can be found at: https://www.mpi.govt.nz/food-business/labelling-composition-food-drinks/ Ingredients and preservatives are displayed by suppliers as required by this legislation. The School Lunch Collective publishes its current menu online, which lists the ingredients and preservatives that are used.
