Hon Mark Mitchell: As the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on matters relating to my Emergency Management and Recovery portfolio. I received the following documents from officials in the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Chief Executive, Cyclone Recovery between 22 to 26 July 2024 (inclusive): • Ministerial Approval of Local Road Transport Projects under North Island Weather Events Hawke’s Bay Crown Funding Agreement, 22 July 2024 • Supporting Recovery in Wairoa, 23 July 2024 • National Flood Warning Symposium, 23 July 2024 • NEMA Fortnightly Status Report, 25 July 2024 • Cyclone recovery arrangements and plan to improve recovery settings, 26 July 2024. • Cyclone Recovery Unit Fortnightly Report, 26 July 2024. I also received one further document on 25 July 2024. It is not in the public interest to release the title of this document as the matters discussed are under active consideration. In addition, jointly with the Prime Minister, I received the following document: North Island Weather Events: Progress Update on Categorisation and Buyouts, Sediment and Debris, 22 July 2024.
