45621 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister of Education: Who, if anyone, did the Ministry of Education consult with in making the decision to remove Commerce from the senior secondary school Subject List ahead of the Subject List release on 11 September 2025?

Hon Erica Stanford: Commerce has not been removed, it has been renamed to Business and Economics, in the senior secondary subjects released on 11 September 2025, and remains a subject at Year 11. This name change recognises that Accounting is a separate subject at Year 11. This is also my response to written parliamentary question 45654 (2025).
