45517 (2025). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: Further to 33023 (2025), how many, if any, cases of harm in care is the Oranga Tamariki Child Protection Investigation Unit investigating as of 1 September 2025; if none, why?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that as at 1 September 2025, the Child Protection Investigation Unit was investigating four cases relating to children and young people in care and eight cases relating to children and young people known to Oranga Tamariki.
