45350 (2025). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: How many, if any, Education Review Office reviews of Home Education Certificates of Exemption have been approved by the Ministry of Education National Office, since January 1 2024?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that since 1 January 2024 it has completed ten reviews of Home Education Certificates of Exemption. The Certificate of Exemption was revoked for five home educated students because the Ministry was not satisfied the exemption standard continued to be met by the parent or legal guardian. The Certificate of Exemption remained in place for the other five home educated students because the Ministry was satisfied the exemption standard continued to be met by the parent or legal guardian.
