45228 (2024). Rt Hon Chris Hipkins to the Prime Minister: What aides-mémoire, briefings, memos, notes, reports, or any other advice, if any, has the Minister or their Office received during the week beginning 22 July 2024, listed by agency, title and date received?
Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: As Prime Minister, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on a range of matters. In my capacity as the Prime Minister, I received the following documents from officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) between 22 July – 26 July 2024: • Adding a second shareholding Minister for Southern Response Earthquake Services, 26 July 2024. I also received two documents between 22 July – 26 July 2024, however, it is not in the public interest to release the title of these documents. In addition, jointly with the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery I have received the following document: • North Island Weather Events: Progress Update on Categorisation and Buyouts, Sediment and Debris, 24 July 2024. I have received briefings from the Policy Advisory Group, a business unit of DPMC, during the requested timeframe however I am not releasing the titles of these briefings. Furthermore, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from my officials in DPMC and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices.
