45200 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Local Government: Do Water Service Delivery Plans submitted for review under Local Water Done Well include estimates of how water rates will change by 2034 and if so, how much, if at all, will water rates increase on average by 2034 for each local council included in plans received?

Hon Simon Watts: Yes. The water services delivery plans (plans) include estimates of water charges for households through to 2034. As only twenty percent of the water services delivery plans have been accepted by the Secretary for Local Government, officials within the Department of Internal Affairs are unable to provide the average costs for all councils at this stage.
