45194 (2025). Hon Marama Davidson to the Associate Minister of Justice: Which child protection organisations, if any, were consulted with prior to the introduction of the Adoption Amendment Bill?

Hon Nicole McKee: My officials from the Ministry of Justice worked closely with officials from Oranga Tamariki in developing the policy which informed the Adoption Amendment Bill. Given the need to act urgently to address the risk of harm to children and young people, the Government did not consult publicly
