45145 (2025). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: Does Kāinga Ora record the number of boarders living in its tenants’ homes and if so, how many, if any, homes were recorded as having boarders at 30 June 2025?

Hon Chris Bishop: Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities advises me that it does not record the number of boarders living in its homes. Information on household composition is the responsibility of the Ministry of Social Development through the housing register and Income Related Rent reviews.
