45116 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Has he had any reports of problems that have disrupted the reporting capabilities of NZTA to report speed camera statistics and if so, what are the details of those problems?

Hon Chris Bishop: On 1 July 2025, NZTA became responsible for all safety cameras. Following the successful transfer of safety cameras from NZ Police, NZTA advises me that it is progressing quarterly reporting in infringement data and that this reporting will be consistent with NZ Police’s safety camera reporting. The first release of data will be available in the next month.
