44825 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What is the range of turnaround times for full pathology results to be returned on cancers diagnosed at Wellington Hospital?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am pleased to confirm that between 1 January 2025 and 14 October 2025, the fastest turnaround time has been less than one day, and the slowest turnaround time has been 66 days - an improvement on 2023, when this number was 93 days. My expectation is that patients receive their results in a timely manner.
