44823 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: For cancers diagnosed at Wellington Hospital how many have full pathology results returned in 7 days, 14 days, 21 days, 28 days or longer?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised of the following between 1 January 2025 and 14 October 2025: Up to 7 days: 774 (23%); 7 to 14 days: 1,089 (32%); 14 to 21 days: 752 (22%); 21 to 28 days: 466 (14%); over 28 days: 273 (8%). I note that this is an improvement on 2023, when only 16% were returned in 7 days or less.
