Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: How many maternity wards across Health New Zealand’s, if any, have reported more than 50% of shifts below target using the Care Capacity Demand Management programme in the most recent three months for which data is available, listed by the name of each ward and month?

Hon Simeon Brown: I refer the member to the attached table, which shows the maternity wards with greater than 50% shifts below target rates from the most recent data for August, September and October 2025. For comparison I have included data from the same three-month period in each of 2022, 2023 and 2024. Additionally, I have provided data on shifts above target to give the Member a more complete picture.
