44787 (2024). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: What mentoring services, if any, are provided in Oranga Tamariki youth justice residences?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised that Oranga Tamariki does not provide specific mentoring services in Youth Justice Residences, however they do employ residential youth workers to provide continuous supervision and support. Young people also have an allocated social worker and case leader for specific 1:1 support to help them with their youth justice matters.
