44750 (2025). Teanau Tuiono to the Minister of Foreign Affairs: What statements or actions has the Minister or any office they are responsible for, if any, made or intend to make about the conflict in Sudan?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: Since 2023, New Zealand has repeatedly called for all parties to the Sudanese conflict to negotiate an immediate cessation of violence. New Zealand has made and joined a number of statements at the United Nations Human Rights Council calling for the rapid and unimpeded access of humanitarian aid, most recently on 9 September 2025. New Zealand has also contributed NZ$12.5 million to the humanitarian response in Sudan since 2023.
