Hon Andrew Bayly: MBIE monitors central government payment times through a quarterly survey. Results are signed out by Chief Financial Officers and published online to encourage prompt payment. MBIE works with consistent under performers to confirm the steps they are taking to meet the government expectations. MBIE has been hosting a quarterly community of practice, comprising about 20 central government agencies, since 2020. The group continues to be a platform where challenges and ideas are shared to promote faster payment of invoices.
